Most people living in Orange County know that Costa Mesa is split into eastside and westside, what most may not know is that the West Bluff neighborhood is one of the best kept secrets. Located on the border of Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, West Bluff has so much to offer.

Living in Westside Costa Mesa, homeowners are surrounded by Fairview Park and the Costa Mesa Golf Club to the north, the Santa Ana River Trail to the west, the Pacific Ocean and Talbert Nature Preserve to the south, and Town Center or Triangle Square to the east. The area contains approximately 1,788 acres, or 2.8 square miles. This location has more to offer than meets the eye. Not only are the views gorgeous but access to public amenities are nothing short of abundant. If you’re a beach goer West Bluff is just over a mile to the Beach and in close proximity to both Newport Beach Pier (4.5 miles) and Huntington Beach pier (5.1 miles).

Fairview Park

Hobby enthusiasts can fly model aircrafts or take a train ride at Goathill Junction Railroad Station.


Talbert Nature Preserve

A hiker’s dream, explore the wetlands by foot, bike or stay put and have a picnic. If you enjoy being in nature this is the spot for you. The Preserve is surrounded by the West Bluffs neighborhood and the Santa Ana river.


Santa Ana River Trail

Before or after work is the perfect time to take your dog for a walk, go for a bike ride or even a run on the Santa Ana River Trail. Take the time to find your zen in nature. If you’re an avid biker then the more than 110 miles of paved road will give you a worthy adventure.

The Santa Ana River Trail ends at the Santa Ana River Jetty and is one of the few places you can let your dogs run free off leash. A well kept secret to locals it’s just over a mile from West Bluff.

Vista Park Playground

A small park off the 1200 block of Victoria (keep your eyes open or you might miss it). This park has a playground, picnic benches and a barbecue. If you have children this is a great option for a quick play date.
